US declares coronavirus outbreak a public health emergency

US officials have declared a public health emergency over the coronavirus outbreak. Foreign nationals who have travelled to China will be barred from entering the country from Sunday. Alex Azar, the health and human services secretary, said US citizens who have travelled to China’s Hubei province in the last fortnight will be subject to a mandatory 14-day quarantine when they return
